Not everyone who cries Lord, Lord, is a true disciple of the Jewish Jesus. Not everyone who invokes the name of Jesus to cast out demons and pray for the sick are true disciples of the Jewish Jesus. A true disciple of the Jewish Jesus will not deny his name, will not recant the Truth, and will not reject holiness.
There were few disciples of the Jewish Jesus who could walk the walk and talk the talk. The unity in Jerusalem was on the Temple Mount among those of a false religion. Yes, Phariseeism was a false Jewish religion. It was never the true religion of Israel. Phariseeism came to Israel from Babylon. So did the Sadducee religion. There were thousands of these Jewish religious followers. But the Jewish Jesus did not pick one of his disciples from among these false Jewish religions. It is real hard to retrain the minds of those deceived by false religions. It is easier to train a non-religious person than it is one of those whose mind is already defiled and poisoned. These could never be a real disciple. And when the real test came watch where these deceived men went:
"From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him" (John 6:66).
The famous 666 verse!
Look at these rebels. They found fault with the words of Jesus and WENT BACK! Went back to what? Why they went back to the Temple cults of the Pharisees and Saducees. They walked no more with Jesus. See, many men and women are so self-centered, so brainwashed in their religious traditions and falsehoods they cannot be fully developed into a real disciple. Those who went back were disciple drop-outs. They were not there on the day of Pentecost to reeceive the Holy Ghost. They were not there to take the Gospel to the nations. They NEVER came back to the Church. They quit and forever damned themselves into the flames of hell. These men who forsook the Jewish Jesus thought themselves so bold, so proud, they had rejected Jesus and showed it when they walked away.
The true disciples of the Jewish Jesus are formost holiness men. Jesus did not go about selecting the worst sinners and rehabilitate them. He did not look for criminals and try to make holy men out of them. He did not seek rich cats and see if he could entice them to give up their wealth to be great-name preachers. He carefully selected holy men, men who were devout, men who could be trained in the Truths of God. From these came forth the true disciples. And the Jewish Jesus was so wise.
You see, men who cannot make up their minds between worldliness and holiness will never make a true disciple. They will always find a reason to go back to a worldly church, to allow Jezebell religion, and to attack holiness as legalism and bondage. These kinds of men will never prosper in the knowledge of Truth. They will always be on the fringe and fall into all manner of false doctrines. And they will always resist the Truth. When they speak, they speak of themselves and their lusts of the flesh. They will hate the good and love the evil. You can tell by whom they fellowship and who their champions are. The Jewish Jesus had the same problems with limp-wristed men in his day. There were men who were more sissy than a real man of God. I can tell you that the real Jesus is looking for disciple material in these last days. Men who like the first disciples who are willing to forsake all for the Kingdom.
If there are some men out there who can make into a real disciple they will declare themselves on the side of Truth. They will not be ashamed or intimidated.
The Jewish Jesus has a few disciples who will not sell out, will not bow out, will not sail out, will not be blown out with winds of doctrine, will not be faked out, will not be lied out, will not be shoved out, will not be scared out, will not be shamed out, and will not backslide out.
Yes, there are a few real disciples today.
