Pastor In Atmore, Alabama Arrested

Thoughts:

If you commit adultery, fornication, homosexuality, you can ask forgiveness and be welcome back into the pulpit. But:

If you divorce and remarry you cannot be welcomed back into the pulpit.

A mistake or a sin?

Mistakes to me are not a willful, planned or intentional act: like turning on a one way street the wrong way; or dropping something; or adding up a group of numbers and the total is wrong; or getting into an accident backing out of a driveway and not making sure it was all clear.

Sin is a willful, planned, and intentional act. These sins are not mistakes. How can going online, searching for prostitutes, corresponding with prostitutes by email or IM, and setting up a meeting place, BE A MISTAKE?

Many are claiming that adultery is just a mistake. I do not accept this. Adultery is a sin.

Yes, an Apostolic pastor in Atmore, Alabama was arrested in a sex sting.

The pastor was on the internet seeking prostitutes for sex. He contacted one but it was no woman as he thought. But it was a police undercover agent.

The pastor made arrangements to go meet the girl for sex. When he arrived for his adultery and agreed to pay for certain sex acts to an undercover woman cop, he was surprised that the police arrested him. They read him his rights. Grabbed him. Threw him to the ground. Put bracelets on him. Put him into a police car and hauled off to be booked.

He was bailed out.

The week before all of this, he was approached by a Brother Minister about why he had not had Communion for several years. He talked with him about the use of Passover wine and unleavened bread. The Pastor rejected it. So the Minister told him he would be leaving. He did not want to attend a church any more that did not honor the Lord's Supper.

Then next week after his arrest, the pastor called all the men into a special meeting before Sunday nite service. He told them he had made a mistake, a bad mistake, and had gone into the "wrong tent." He never confessed his sin. He just said he went into the "wrong tent."

The senior retired pastor then addressed the men and said he believed they could work through his sin and wanted him to stay as the pastor. The men present, not knowing the sin all voted he should stay as the pastor for going into the wrong tent. Then they came into the church where the pastors wife sat on the back row back in a corner with her head down. The senior pastor took the lead and addressed the 80 member church telling them the Pastor had made a mistake and had gone into the wrong tent, but had committed no bad sin. And said all the men had voted he should stay as the pastor since he had repented.

The Minister who had previously talked to him about the Passover Lord's Supper did not know his sin at this time.

A day later another brother in the church learned about it from the newspaper and called him and told him about his arrest in a prostitute sex sting.

The Minister decided right then, he would not return to the church. A couple weeks later when his "tent" story was explained to the members, he resigned and left the town in shame.

I mention this to all of you here because the internet and all this sex stuff is destroying a lot of people. Many youth are being destroyed. Marriages are being destroyed. Homes are being broken up. Churches are being closed down in shame. Ministers are losing their ordination to preach and pastor.

If you are involved in any form of internet sex searches, pornography, or other "wrong tent" actions: please consider your sin. And please consider that you may destroy not only your own self, but you may cause others to stumble.

His family, friends, church members are saying he just made a mistake and should be forgiven and welcomed back into the pulpit. Where is this in the Bible? Where in the New Testament?

A Sin of Omission is failure to do what one can and must do.

A Sin of Commission is to know something is wrong... and do it anyway.

And so, what they say it would have applied only if that would be a sin of omission.

And what he did, was certainly a sin of commission.

This is what I read in the NT:
    1st John 3:
    6. Whosoever abideth in Him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him.
    7. Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous.
    8. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.
    9. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for His seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
    10. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

And no, I'm not holier that thou, but when I do a mistake the Lord immediately convicts me. Thank God He does convict me!

I really hope this man will truly repent & come back to the Lord.

One of the problems in this particular area, is that, UPCI for example most of their churches are turned into charismaniacs just because their leadership have mingled with them even in conferences. And wherever the charismaniacs have conferences, sale statistics shows pornographic videos renting top up on the highest scale.

We must love the Lord enough to say NO to any wickedness of the Babylon system.
This is an example of what the Word says in Romans 12:1,2, and that is a commandment.

Pastor Reckart, beautiful Lesson today! Indeed, there's blessing & life in obedience, but sadly, cursing & destruction with disobedience.

  2. Sin is wilful, planned, and carried out. Mistakes are not willful, planned, and carried out. We need old time preaching where sin is sin and that a preacher can sin out of the pulpit and out of the ministry. If God can remove kings from thrones because of sin, then he can remove preachers from the pulpit and from the ministry.

The problem today is the lying spirit that a man can commit adultery, fornication, homosexuality and be welcomed back into the pulpit. But let a man get married again because his wife committed fornication and left for another man: and he is kicked out of the pulpit, kicked out of the church, disfellowshipped, scandalized, and destroyed. It would have been better if he just had the woman on the side and he can stay in the pulpit and hold a license.

This is not New Testament doctrine of holiness.

Sin is sin, and no sin is a mistake because it was willful, planned, and carried out. It cannot be found any where in the Bible.

  3. Truth! Let is SIN! Some or most are becoming more and more tolerant of sin these days that there seems to be a blurred line between holiness and sin. The Devil is a liar! The distinct line still remains! Let God be true and every man a liar!
    Holiness is still required.
