You do what you want all year long. You have all your special days and evenings. The Passover of Jesus is the evening we stop everything, and remember. It is the greatest evening of the world. A few souls will gather on this night all around the world. Some will gather out doors, in homes, churches, and even hotel rooms. They will experience the Story in the emblems of the Passover. The Lamb will not be forgotten. The suffering will not be ignored. The hate and slander used to nail him to the cross we will read again. We will not stop at the crucifixion nor at his resurrection. We will focus our final attention on his promise to come again.
Our Savior, our Master, our Shepherd, our King, and our Lord deserves one evening out of the 365 he gives us each year. Just one evening is all he asked. Do this in remembrance of me. This was both a request and a command.
At Jesus House in Tampa and among Jesus House families and churches, we hold it a high honor to give our Lord Jesus Christ not only this one special evening, but reaffirm on this night our commitment to remain faithful until he comes. As a family gathered around the Passover Table, we unite in the love of the Bread and the Cup. All of the love of Jesus was reduced to these two emblems of our faith. Experience the Story. It may be your last year to do this......(John 6:53).
