What holds the UPCI back?
It is held back by the Catholic traditions it continues to hold and refuses to give up.
What is the reason the UPCI holds back?
The reason is, the minister members of the UPCI are so indoctrinated in the Pentecostal traditions they have been taught, they cannot and will not admit they were wrong all these years. If the UPCI leadership was to join as one voice and say they were going to restore the annual Passover of Jesus on the night he instituted it: there are thousands of ministers who would leave the organization immediately and go join the PAW, PAJC, ALJC, ACI, COOLJC, WPF, and other oneness groups who will never give up their Catholic traditions. So in effect the UPCI would split in as many ways as you can cut a pie.
But, does Truth depend upon a UPCI response? No!
The UPCI can boast of its Acts 2:38 water baptism stance, and then even conflate that with Matthew 28:19 in a convoluted way. They can teach the Oneness but if pressured you will find most believe in TWO. They cannot boast of being a holiness group any more. At best, there remains a few holiness pastors and preachers among them, but these know the days of holiness are numbered. The majority of the UPCI are very liberal today and there is no way to restore this Laodicaea contingency back to holiness. What with Pastor Bernard loosly throwing around the words legalism and legalistic, bondage, and his Christian liberty private interpretations. Personally, having been a witness of the UPCI back over 60 years: the UPCI today and the UPC of the 50s, 60s, 70s, is no more in existence. Those holiness preachers have been replaced by machine-gun manufactured liberal Bible colleges in the UPC. But these graduates are not continuing the older legacy, they are continuing the liberalism under which they were tutored and brainwashed. They think their bible college education prepared them to be real Apostolics when it fact it prepared them to be a Pentecostal Catholic with very liberal and holiness mixture until they cannot differentiate between their Catholic traditions and biblical Apostolic Christianity.
Will the UPCI ever recover? No.
It is to far down the slippery slope. Pastor Nathaniel Urshan took it down the slippery slope and Pastor David Bernard is sealing the tomb with his Christian liberty false doctrine.
What must we do?
We must come out from among. We are told already we would have to do this. So why fight with God. Fight with man-made organizations but not with God.
How must we come out from among?
By researching the Truth and making no compromise with Pentecostal Cathloicism. By making no agreement or fellowship with any Law Keepers who are off into a various kaleidoscope of YHWH invented devil names for God and Jesus. By retaining holiness standards. And by creating home churches until there are sufficient numbers to have a worship building. By spreading the true Gospel of Jesus Christ that contains no Catholic traditions.
Make war on these Oneness groups? No, not exactly. But speaking the Truth in love and with boldness to pastors and members. Not backing down. This is not war, this is high powered witnessing to mystery Babylon and her daughters. Is the UPCI and other Oneness groups part of mystery Babylon? Yes, so long as they openly flaunt their pagan celebrations and claim that God now accepts them with a coat of Christian varnish.
Fellowship? If we will hold the Truth and not mixed with paganism, then we can have fellowship. We are told this in Romans 8:1. But remember dear ones: the unity here and fellowship is based upon us NOT WALKING AFTER THE FLESH BUT THE SPIRIT.
For 68 years now the UPCI has walked after the flesh in practicing Catholic holiday traditions. On April 20th, many will hold they annual Easter pagan holiday observances. This will expose everyone that does this as a part of mama Rome. If your church holds Easter, my advice is never go back. Go find a Church that does not celebrate this pagan day and at the same time continues to ignore and cast down as naught the annual Passover of our Lord Jesus Christ.
