The day of Pentecost was a personal experience where self became the center of attention. Save yourselves from this untoward generation, were the words of Peter.
After the day of Pentecost what?
It would be a time to turn from self after salvation to other important spiritual matters.
The day of Pentecost was the 8th day of the Third Month. The 8th day signified many things:
Exo 22:30 on the eighth day ye shall give it me.
Lev 9:1 on the eighth day, that Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel.
Lev 12:3 and in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.
Lev 14:23 on the eighth day for his cleansing unto the priest.
Lev 25:22 And ye shall sow the eighth year.
The number 8 also has to do with the day of Pentecost that chosen year.
But more importantly, exactly 52 days prior at 9am Jesus was upon the Cross. Between 9am and 12 noon the mockers came with their tongues and lips to revile and provoke Christ with their blasphemous words. These men of all subtility, with all the anger of the serpent in their mouths, could not stay away from the man they hated. They would not rest until they knew he was tormented with their foul tongues and lips and at last dead. Boy they could muscle him now. He was nailed to the Cross and they were all decorated with their fringes and talits scoffing. They wanted his mouth shut, his lips to say no more, and his tongue to be silenced. They would end the life of this man of compassion and sorrows, claiming to be the Son of the Blessed. this man who claimed he could rebuild the Temple in three days; he was greater than Moses: ha, he trusted in God, let God have him.
If the resurrection meant anything to the Jews, it meant their hopes were crushed. They would not silence the words of eternal life. It was settled long before Calvary that many tongues and many lips would speak forth the wonderful things of God (Romans 15:11; see also Psalms 145:4). No Jew or group of Jews would stop Jesus even if they believed what they were doing was to help God.
The day of Pentecost falling on the 8th day of the third month signaled a new beginning. The keys to the Kingdom opened the door of salvation first to the Jews. Many tongues and lips would be touched by the Holy Spirit of God in a way no man would be able to duplicate.
At this point, no Gentile had been allowed to join the Jewish fellowship of men and women from the twelve tribes. At first there were 120 Jewish men, women, and children who were the first ones into the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Messieh (Christ).
Then, between 9am and 12 noon 3,000 Jews who believed the things preached by the Apostle Peter were baptized and came into the Kingdom. Consider that between these same hours 52 days before, as Jesus hung on the Cross as profane tongues spoke their satanic accusations and rants: there were now just as many Jews filled with the Holy Ghost praising God in a NEW TONGUE.
Pentecost was past. Now what?
The next day Peter and John went to the Temple at noon. While it was the hour of noon prayers there is no evidence they prayed. Instead as they approached the gate Beautiful they saw a Jewish man begging for alms. Apparently the other hundreds of Jews who passed him gave him little or he could have gone on his way for the day. After six hours he still had not collected enough to take care of his needs. When he saw Peter and John about to go into the Temple he asked them for charity. Peter and John stopped cold in their footsteps. Peter fastened his eyes on the poor beggar. He saw not only a poor hungry Jew he saw a soul that needed God. The priest that came by him that day to do their Temple ministry did not care about either of these needs of his. But Peter and John had something new from the Holy Ghost the day before. They now had COMPASSION.
It is this COMPASSION that followed Pentecost. A love for others. Seeing their hurts, their sufferings, their poverty, their inability to help themselves. It is here that a ministering spirit began in the lives of Peter and John. We are sure it also transferred to others. The love of Christ was now transferred. A ministering heart they now had. And with it COMPASSION. "Look on us" Peter told the beggar. The beggar obeyed and stared at them expecting to receive charity. Instead, he heard Peter say: "silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk."
Peter extended his right hand to the beggar as COMPASSION touched his heart. The beggar reached and grabbed the hand of mercy. As Peter began to tug him upward the beggar's feet and ankles received strength and the power of God hit him as he arose. He leaped up the rest of the way under the power. He stood, then he walked, and entered the Temple with them leaping and praising God.
After Pentecost WHAT?
For those whose minds and eyes are carnal, they thought observing their own Pentecost would gain them something. Yes, gain them something. But they did not receive the Power and they did not receive COMPASSION. They held the day self righteously like the Jews and then went home again blind, naked, poor, empty, no direction, no Holy Ghost Word, to stir up their hearts to MERCY. They shouted, danced, some played pig-preacher rendering, But:
For those who follow after true men of God, we seek more. We will lead you in the paths of righteousness. We will give you examples of COMPASSION. We want to know what's next? What shall we do? What should the Church do? How can we serve as SERVANTS with COMPASSION? And I here give you the answer.
The Holy Ghost is the love of God, the Comforter, the Helper, the Compassionate and Loving presence of God.
After Pentecost what?
COMPASSION
Why is it that loving one another was such a high priority of Jesus? Why was it that the love of God would be shed abroad in us by the Holy Ghost? "Shed abroad"? Do you mean Bishop I am to "shed abroad" the love of God after I receive the Holy Ghost? You mean my main purpose is not to speak in tongues, jump and shout, and run all over the Church? You mean there is something more important?
Of course only those who know the mind of the Spirit will understand my words today. They will look inside the temple of their body and see if the love of God is there. And if there is no COMPASSION in there, God is not in their temple.
After Pentecost we become a people driven by COMPASSION and CHARITY!
Herein is the love of God perfected. And herein we are able to overcome all trials and burdens. When we give it shall be given unto us. And yes this includes the tithe. Tithing that is not given by COMPASSION is not given with the right heart. Do not listen or follow the lies of those who know not the mystery of God and claim tithing is not a New Testament requirement. They do not have the COMPASSION of God in their hearts so they hold back not only the tithe, they have little or no COMPASSION.
After Pentecost it was time to take the Gospel to the nations. This would never be accomplished except by COMPASSION. This is why those men and women who become dedicated missionaries are so blessed. While they may struggle and may sacrifice a lot to do what they feel called to do: they do so because they are driven by COMPASSION.
You may not be able to go. You may not be called to preach to the nations. Maybe you are in bad health and you could not go. But do you have COMPASSION? Is your heart cold and without mercy? Do you feel like you are dead inside? Are you always in a trial? Maybe you have shut up your bowels of COMPASSION. Maybe you need to seek God for a healing of your heart. Ask him to give you COMPASSION. And then look about you. Maybe you cannot say silver and gold have I none. Maybe you can say I have a hundred, I have a thousand, I have ten thousand, I have a million dollars I can give.
COMPASSION will always show up in money.
That is why the beggar man was at the gate Beautiful. He was expecting God worshippers to have COMPASSION money. But boy was he shocked. Here it was noon and he had not collected enough all morning for his daily needs. How many more go to Church and pass through gate Beautiful and do not have COMPASSION? What is worse: they do not have the power Peter had either. This means a lot of souls who need healing and salvation must remain in their beggar and lost condition.
After Pentecost it is time to release COMPASSION.
Anyone who does not obtain COMPASSION and they give little or no money for the cause of reaching souls, did not get the total PENTECOSTAL Holy Ghost.
This is why when Churches focus only on speaking in tongues, shouting, dancing, and the physical exercises, they are still filled with carnal desires and immediately enter into trials of their flesh. No one ever told them that after Pentecost comes COMPASSION. Few Preachers, Pastors, and Bishops have ever had this revelation.
You have read it first right here from Bishop Reckart.
Do not tell me you have COMPASSION. I want to see it. Yes, I want to see it in your money. I want to see it in your own attitude. Many have become so uncompassionate, they are boring and have little love for others.
At Jesus House, we are a Church of COMPASSION.
At Jesus House, we are a missionary Church with Light To The Nations.
At Jesus House, we care for souls. We have the love of Christ. We love people. With our COMPASSION we feed the homeless, the poor, and we even given alms to the street beggars both in the USA and to those in other nations when we are there.
Bishop Reckart stresses the importance of COMPASSION.
After all COMPASSION, follows the day of Pentecost.
